The St. Lawrence forest of Ontario’s southern region transitions to the Boreal forest of the north – Here you can see nature collide. You are welcome to experience all seasons in this beautiful part of the country, one hour’s drive from North Bay or Sudbury.
The most important part of life is ensuring that you spend quality time with loved ones, doing things that are memorable and fulfilling. We provide the time and space to nourish and revitalize you, your family, and your friends. You can organize a holiday, function or retreat here that will long be remembered. Whether celebrating a milestone event or simply wanting to get away from it all, we offer a piece of nature’s paradise for you to relax and enjoy.
The Fisher family lives here, including our dogs and cats – Foremost, this is our Home, we are happy to share it with family, friends, and you! We prefer to keep the land as pristine as possible and so have limited spots available.
Wild Life – This part of the country, because of its unique ecosystem, is a place where Moose and Deer rub shoulders; beavers abound, as do rabbits, chipmunks and dozens of other creatures. West Nipissing is an ornithological delight. The variety and abundance of birds change throughout the season with nesting and migration patterns. There are over 230 species recorded in the area.
Fishing – West Nipissing boasts diverse fishing. We have access to two small oxbow lakes and half mile of frontage on the Sturgeon River feeding Lake Nipissing. The river can be navigated for twenty five miles from our location. Excellent fishing is right at your doorstep. There are many other lakes known for fishing within a few minutes by car. We embrace eco-friendly practices and are committed to protecting the environment – And we’re still developing… to create a facility that keeps your ideals in mind.
Camping Standards – Our rules are simple: No Littering (including cig. butts), No Glass, Pick up after yourself/kids/dogs, All food/beverage/litter must be contained (in a receptacle with a tight-fitting lid or vehicle), Wear lifejackets while in kayaks/canoes/paddleboards (it’s the law), Wear shoes or look where you’re walking (for stumps, rocks), Be mindful of noise, Be mindful of fellow campers/children/dogs, Respect nature and each other. Please bring your own toilet paper and sanitary wipes (Covid19 new rule). We prefer that campers walk/bicycle to the beach – lots of campers bring collapsible wagons for lugging their picnics, blankets, and beach toys
