What a ride these past few months have been. We hope that all of you have managed well during this difficult time. Pandemic winter is almost over!
We have been shut down for a couple of months and the family has fared well enough – we are indeed looking forward to beach days and campfire nights with you.
Here is an update for what we can expect this summer, which may change of course depending on the dreaded lurgy.
We will be respecting social distancing into the foreseeable future. Sauna etiquette is the same – please make sure to allow people time and space to use it, and do not enter if you are not in the same camping group, first-come-first-served basis. It worked well last year without a need for sign-up sheets, but if one needs to be put up, we’ll do that. Canoes and kayaks will be available, also on a first-come-first-served basis, the paddles and seats should be wiped down before and after using them.
Please bring your own sanitary wipes and toilet paper. The outhouses will be cleaned often and have all the necessary sanitation supplies inside, do not remove them.
This year, the Guest House will not be available for booking – so it’s the cabin, 3 glamp tents, and campsites.
We’ve been getting a lot of requests for seasonal sites, but we do not have that option as the entire property is booked at times for special events/reunions et al.
As for trailers, we do allow some in certain spots like Family Camping 1, and appreciate that generators not be used because the noise gets in the way of those trying to enjoy the tranquility of nature – The main focus of Fishers’ Paradise is tent camping and minimal impact from vehicles, we also appreciate visitors walking and biking while camping here (there is no need to drive to the beach).
If you are interested in advance booking, which we recommend as there will be limited numbers of people allowed on the property at any given time, please go to the Contact Us page and fill out the form with your desired dates and desired campsite location (if you have one).
That’s it for now – Happy Spring and see you soon!
